Photography James Veale

I started in photography whilst backpacking in countries like Guatemala, India and Vietnam with a 50mm lens and small speedlight. As well as trying to capture the landscape of these countries I wanted to capture the characters that I met along the way.

After years of being an obsessive amateur photographer I found work as a photographers’ assistant. This taught me a lot about lighting, planning and the photographic industry. It allowed me to indulge myself even more in photography.

I have since worked on a wide range of different photography and video projects for clients such as Mitre 10, Mindfood Magazine, Mindfood STYLE, Lodge cookware, Servilles Hair Salon, Blaze Hair Salon, TVNZ, 1Above, Dr Hauschka and Loobies story.
